Bigasoft YouTube to iMovie Converter is a commercial converter. It does come with a video downloader built-in, but it doesn't restrict the input file to an FLV file. Also, there aren't any special features for conversion of FLV files, and the supported output formats range from ASF to MKV, which are not iMovie formats in itself.
The first thing you will notice is the graphical user interface. It doesn't really look good. In fact, it looks a bit old, but it still remains functional. Once you load a file, it will start playing. You can choose video and tracks that you want to use, or use the editor to change the video file a bit. It lets you add watermarks and touch up the image. At the bottom of the screen, you will find conversion settings. There is a pop-up menu that displays all the available formats and conversion profiles. There are profiles for iPhones, iPads, etc.
In my testing, the converter performed quite well. I was able to convert FLV and MKV files with no problems. The process was fast and the resulting files looked very good. The video converter worked fine.
