Bigasoft WebM Converter is a commercial video converter. It fully supports the WebM format which is relatively new. This format is being used more and more in video streaming. It fits the HTML scheme just fine and it lets developers use SD and HD video on their websites. But the converter not only supports the WebM format. As a matter of fact, it can also open a variety of other formats. It can output files in MKV, ASF, MPEG-4, H.264, WebM, MPG, WMV and MOV.
The graphical user interface is pretty good. I like GUIs when they are simple and not too crowded, and that is the case with this application's GUI. There is a video player that you can use to preview your files, and a video editor that can trim and crop your videos and adjust some of their properties, like brightness, contrast and saturation.
In my testing of this app, I loaded an MKV and an AVI file. I converted the files into WebM and H.264. The resulting files played great on my web browser (WebM) and on VLC. I was actually amazed at how well the WebM file played on Firefox. Keep in mind that it was an HD file.
In short, Bigasoft WebM Converter is a nice video converter. It has a nice design and it works well.
