BatchCONVERTER allows you to convert groups of image files to other formats. In this respect, the application allows you to convert file formats such as JPG, PNG, BMP, PSD, TIFF, GIF, PDF, TGA, JP2 and ICNS.

This application really could not be easier to use. You can start by setting the conversion parameters. In this regard, you should select the destination directory as the first step. Then you can select both the input and output formats. Finally, you should select the directory containing the images you want to convert. You should know that before proceeding with the conversion the application requires your consent. Also, it is good that during processing you receive feedback on the progress.

The application performs non-destructive format conversion as the original files remain intact. The process flows smoothly and there is no loss of quality in the resulting images.

Unfortunately, you have very little control over the results as you cannot decide on aspects such as resolution or dimensions. Besides, in the case of PDFs, only the first page will be converted to an image.

In general, batchCONVERTER has the great advantage of being very easy to use and allowing processing of a large number of images in a single operation. The product is available in the Mac App Store.

I have used this application with great success. Author is responsive to requests for help. It is important to make sure the source (input) folder and the converted (output) folder are * different * or it will not work. Fast and reliable. I recommend!!!
