Barnes & Noble eReader is a e-book reader for the Mac. It is available on many other platforms, and Barnes & Noble has released their own e-book reader called Nook. The application for the Mac isn't given as much attention as the other platforms, I believe. I found it not very intuitive and, although it has a good set of features, I don't think I will be using this to read on my Mac.
When you install the application, there is a use guide that takes you through the application's features and how to use them. To download a book, you have to go to the Barnes & Noble website and do it there. There are some free books there, and I thought those would be good to test the app, but unfortunately, you have to add credit card information to download even the free books, so I did my testing with the included guide.
I learned that there is support for bookmarking and highlighting. When you bookmark a page, a sort of ribbon appears on the top of the page, and you can see it when you scroll through pages. I like that you can use your mouse's wheel to do that.
