Info updated on:

Audio Cut Free is a simple application that allows you to extract parts from a large audio file. The results can be saved as the new files, which can be used as standalone audio tracks, or as the fragments you merge to create a new audio file.

The utility comes with a straightforward interface with all the functions placed right there on the main window. However, you can't launch the app by double-clicking on its icon. Be it a malfunction or not, but to open the app you are required to right-click an audio file and choose to open it with Audio Cut Free. Once you do this operation, the main window opens up so that you can start editing the selected file. Therefore, you can trim audio segments, append an audio fragment to an already-cut section, and merge some audio files into one. Furthermore, you can perform playback speed adjustments simply by defining the new ratio (0.5 for half speed, etc.) and selecting the start and end points of the audio fragment you want to alter. The program provides a history of the tasks performed – this way, you can see at a glance all the changes made on the selected file. In addition, you can go back to a specific editing stage as well as resume the operation from where you left it off.

In short, the app is designed for home users looking for a simple solution to trim and merge parts of audio files. The results will be saved in any computer location you determine.
