Info updated on:

Any Video Converter Free provides an easy solution for converting video and audio files. The converting process is easy to carry out, since the target formats are conveniently organized on profiles labeled with device names. This way, you don't need to have much knowledge about the formats supported by a specific portable device in order to make the conversion.

The interface is straightforward and user-friendly, so that it can be easily managed by anyone, while the dark-colored appearance gives it a modern look. The converting procedure consists of a series of simple steps to follow. Thus, you just drag and drop the files onto the tool's main window, select one of the output profiles, and start the conversion. If you wish to make some changes to the presets, the program will allow you to apply a series of additional settings – namely, you can adjust the audio volume and the video resolution; customize the brightness, saturation, and contrast values; rotate and flip the image, and so on. Furthermore, you have the possibility of cutting a large clip into smaller pieces, crop and pad a defined area, as well as apply watermarks.

To sum up, Any Video Converter is an easy-to-use application worth using, mainly because it is free and it doesn't provide complicated settings. However, the utility has some drawbacks that you may not find in similar tools. I refer to the limitation of adding image watermarks exclusively, text content not being supported. Moreover, you can cut fragments of a media file, but you don't have the possibility of merging them as a new project. You should also be aware that the free edition lets you convert just one file at a time. For batch conversion, the purchase of an upgraded version is required. And last but not least, a distinct button to open the advanced output options would be helpful. At this moment, these features may pass unnoticed if you don't have the inspiration to right-click or double-click on the selected media file.

This does a good job of converting most Video and Audio files to nearly any format. But it is so slow when converting large files. Plus the free version will not do batch conversions.
