Any DeepStyle 1.0

Use filters to make your photographs look like real paintings.

1.0.2 (See all)

Any DeepStyle can make your photographs look like real paintings. Despite the apparent simplicity reflected on its interface, this tool has a powerful algorithm running “under the hood”, which produces astonishing results.

Luckily, Any DeepStyle supports processing batches of photographs in a single session, which may save you a lot of time and effort. However, you should know that most of the time automating the transformation may bring about poorer results. You can start by importing a single picture or a whole list of them. Then, you can try some of the styles available from the strip on the lower part of the window, which include Mosaic, Classical, Anime, Comics, Abstract, Cartoon, Traditional, Modern, Printmaking, Colored Pencil, Watercolor, Oil Painting and Chinese Painting. Generating a preview may take some time, but not too much. Once it is ready, you can tweak the filter parameters to produce the effects that you expect.

So far, you may argue that Any DeepStyle does nothing you cannot get from many other similar tools. Still, what makes it unique is its ability to “learn” new styles. In this respect, you can train the tool to identify the features of a specific image, let us say, the work of a famous painter. Then, you can apply the newly learned style to any photograph.

In general, I was very satisfied with the results I got from Any DeepStyle. Of course, a lot of it depends on your picking the appropriate photographs, to begin with as well as your artistic skills, even those resulting from your intuition. It is a pity, though, that unlike other similar tools, this one cannot be used as a plugin on other photo editing applications. Finally, if you are interested in giving your photographs an artistic painting-like style, I recommend you to try this product at no cost and see if it is what you are looking for.
