Aiseesoft M4V Converter for Mac is a video conversion program that can convert your video files to a variety of formats, including MPEG-4, H.264, MOV, DivX, XviD, M4V, and WebM. It can also convert video and audio files to audio formats, and there are quite a few available, including MP3, AIFF, ACR, and WAV.
M4V is a format that was developed by Apple and it is very similar to MP4. The only differences that I know between the two formats are that M4V can be DRM-protected using Apple's Fairplay copy-protection measures and that the AC3 format is used for audio. The M4V format is used by Apple to encode content from the iTunes Store.
This converter lets you transform M4V files into other formats, and files encoded using other codecs to M4V as well. However, it should be noted that there is no mention of whether this app will be able to convert DRM-protected files. I didn't have any files to test that, but I don't think that it is possible.
Aiseesoft M4V Converter for Mac is a nice video converter, but it is generic in nature. There are no specific features for the conversion of M4V files. The formats available are not restricted to M4V either, so you can use this app to carry out general video conversion tasks, as well.
The app comes with a ton of conversion profiles for popular devices. It also has quite a few HD conversion profiles, which can come in handy if you want to convert HD files.
