Aiseesoft iPhone Ringtone Maker for Mac is an audio editor. It can be used to convert audio and video files into short clips that can be used as ringtones for the iPhone, or any other phone that supports the M4R format. This app is supposed to let you open pretty much any multimedia file. The formats supported range from AVI and MP4 to MP3 and WAV.
To create a ringtone using this app, all you really have to do is to load a file (audio or video) and select what part of it you want to use. You can do this in one of two ways: by selecting the start and end times by dragging two triangles below the time line or by inputting the time manually. Once you have done that, you can click on "Generate" and the file will be saved to the chosen folder.
When I tested this app, I was unable to get it to work. I tried with MP3 and AVI files to no avail. Whenever I clicked on "Generate", the app crashed. The app is supposed to let you play your ringtone before generating it, but it also crashed when you click on "play".
