Aiseesoft iPad to Mac Transfer Ultimate is a utility that can be used to transfer content from your iPad to your Mac. I tested it with my iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 and both devices were detected just fine, so you may also be able to use it with an iPod Touch. When you first connect your device, the application will present a summary to you. This summary includes some basic information about your device, but the most important data you can gather from this screen is the amount of space, used and free.
The interface is divided into two panes. The one on the left will show all your connected devices, and under each device there is a list of all the types of content that you can transfer. Clicking on any of these will populate the right pane with your files. So for example, clicking on Music on the left pane will cause the right pane to show all the music that you have stored on your device. All your songs will be checked by default, and you can simply click on the Transfer button to copy them to the default folder, which you can change by clicking on the "..." button. There is an option to transfer your files directly to iTunes, which saves you an extra step if you want to put music on another device using iTunes. All the other types of data are transferred in the same way. You simply check the files that you want to transfer and choose one of the transfer options.
The app comes with a video and audio player that lets you play your media before moving it. There is also a preview feature for your photos.
