If the input file types are limited to MP4, AVI, MOV, and WMV, the platform of the target formats is extensive so that you can enjoy your favorite videos on a diversity of portable devices.

The interface is intuitive and rather classic for this kind of program. Although there are a series of editing buttons displayed on the main window, options like trimming, cropping, and adding effects are not available with the program's free version. If you want to take advantage of editing features, you need to upgrade to the pro edition, which obviously carries a cost.

Using this utility is a hassle-free task. All you need to do is add a file or an entire folder to the list panel, select the output format, and adjust parameters of the target file if you consider they need customizing. Selecting the right target format is not difficult at all, since the output file types are structured on device profiles. To make the search much easier and faster, the app provides a small search engine where you are supposed to type the format you are looking for.
As I already anticipated, you can change the bit rate, the encoder, the resolution, etc., of each target profile, and define your own presets and save them for later use. The selected files can be converted in batches. Yet, you need to position on each file individually and choose the destination format manually. In other words, the program doesn't let you apply the same target format to all the selected source files automatically.

Another good feature refers to the ability to remove the sound of a video file. The negative thing is that you can't replace it with a different one. The preview option is of great help, since it allows you to see whether the selected video is really the one aimed for. Moreover, you are able to view the source file in frames and take snapshots, which can then be saved as JPEG, BMP, and PNG image files.

In conclusion, the program is stable and works well. You can stop the converting process at any moment and resume it later if you notice that it is slowing down other processes running on your computer. However, I would have liked the program to offer support for more than four video formats. In addition, a series of some basic editing features would have come in handy.
