Aiseesoft FLV to MP3 Converter for Mac

Aiseesoft FLV to MP3 Converter for Mac 6.2

Aiseesoft FLV to MP3 Converter for Mac is a video to audio conversion utility.

Aiseesoft FLV to MP3 Converter for Mac is a video to audio conversion utility. You can use it convert videos in the FLV format into MP3, AAC, AC3, AIFF, M4A, MP2, OGG, MKA, WAV and WMA. Thus, the application becomes very useful for converting music videos downloaded from YouTube that you may want to listen to on your iPod or another audio playback device. However, the application doesn't restrict the formats that you can open to FLV. In fact, it supports pretty much every video or audio format.

Just like all the other Aiseesoft converters that can only output audio, this one also includes a stripped-down version of the video editor found in the video converters by this developer. It can only be used to trim your videos and adjust brightness, contrast and saturation, which seems a little useless to me since this application can't output video files, so brightness and contrast are not very relevant.

I tested this video converter by downloading an FLV music video from YouTube and then converting it to MP3. The process was really, really fast and the resulting file sounded perfect. I could easily load it into iTunes and then on to my iPhone.

In conclusion, this converter works very well. And it supports most formats as input. However, many YouTube downloaders can already convert downloaded files to MP3, even the free ones, so this application isn't a good value, especially when other commercial converters out there can carry out the same conversion task. In other words, if you already have a video converter that can convert FLV to MP3, you probably don't need this one.
