AIRiPad is an iPad simulator for the Mac made in Adobe AIR. The app is an early version of an on-going project that sets out to simulate the iPad on your Mac. As the developer clearly states, this early version can't do much, and it is buggy as hell. When you launch the application, an image of the iPad will appear with its screen locked. You can slide the slider at the bottom to unlock the iPad and go to the screen that shows installed apps.

There are only three apps that can be launched by clicking on them: Safari, Netflix and a maps app. If you launch Safari, the New York Times will be opened, and you can browse it. Netflix is simply a snapshot of the Netflix loading screen and the maps app works OK.

The only physical button on the iPad that you can use is the home button, which exits applications. There is also an arrow at the top right part of the screen that allows you to rotate the iPad. When you rotate it, the screen automatically adjusts and rotates when you are on the home screen, but not if you are in Safari. A few times, rotating the screen made the app crash on my Mac.
