Acqlite is a P2P client based on Acquisition, LimeWire, and Cabos. It is a free app that can be used to share and download files, like music, videos, movies, etc.
The main window consists of two panes. On the left pane, you will see your active searches, and on the right one, there will be a list of files found if you are in search; the connected servers, if you clicked on "Network"; or the current transfers, if you clicked on "Downloads" or "Uploads".
After you start a search, you will see the results appearing all on the left. You can filter them by type to avoid downloading something you don't want. The supported filters are Pictures, Movies, Text, Files and Music.
When I tested this app, I focused on music downloads. I added two searches one for "Muse" and the other for "Katy Perry". The search results for Muse were not many, and I wasn't able to download a single song. All I got was a message saying that there weren't enough sources. Katy Perry returned many more results, and I was able to download one song out of 4 that I added in about 10 minutes.
In short, on my computer and my network settings, I failed to see good results from this app. You might have different luck, so go ahead and give it a try. I liked the overall look of the application, but I wasn't able to get the kind of results that I was expecting.
