New 13-Inch MacBook Pro First Look
Apple regularly updates its MacBook Pro models, and there are numerous rumours suggesting the new 13-inch model may be revealed on the 8th of March.
The last 13-inch MacBook Pro was introduced in November, 2020. This entry-level Mac uses a powerful Apple Silicon M1 processor that replaced the Intel one and considerably enhanced the machine performance and improved its battery life.
The long-awaited 13-inch MacBook Pro is believed to arrive with a few design changes. It's noted that the updated model may retain the same chassis with a Touch Bar. Still, the presence of the Touch Bar is quite controversial as it may be removed, according to some gossip.
Also, this model might miss a mini-LED display and it may have no support for 20Hz ProMotion refresh rates. If it is true, it will keep the model's costs down.
Mark Gurman from Bloomberg stated that the 13-inch model may be equipped with an upcoming M2 chip. It is likely to have the same 8-core CPU as the predecessor, however, M2 is expected to come out with great speed and efficiency improvements since it may be based on a smaller node.
Furthermore, the upgraded model is expected to have additional GPU cores.
Let's wait a bit and we'll see if these rumours are true.
