Apple's September 2025 event: beyond the iPhones Apple's September 2025 event: beyond the iPhones

On September 9, 2025, Apple will conduct an event it called “Awe Dropping.” If it strikes you as somewhat odd, here are some titles from the previous years: “Wonderlust” (2023), “By innovation only” (2018), and the recent “It’s Glowtime” (2024). Apple’s known for its penchant for puns, but the title of the September event of this year — this has to be said — is somewhat controversial.

Anyway, this piece is not about titles. Previously, we’ve given you what’s known about the headliners of the presentation, the new iPhones; this post scoops up facts and speculations about everything else that Apple will, supposedly, unveil at “Awe Dropping.”

Where to watch the September 2025 Apple event “Awe Dropping”

First things first. “Awe Dropping” will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park; the event is planned to start at 10:00 AM P.T. If you’re unable to be there in person, here are some options for watching the presentation online:

What else will Apple unveil at “Awe Dropping”? Apple Watch Ultra 3, Series 11, and SE 3

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 was designed for those whose idea of leisure time revolves around trekking, hiking, and generally living outdoors more than inside a confined space. Thus, the (expected) specs:

  • a larger 2.12-inch LTPO3 OLED display with 422 x 514 pixel resolution;
  • satellite connectivity for off-grid messaging;
  • 5G RedCap support via MediaTek modem;
  • blood pressure monitoring with early hypertension alerts;
  • the new S10 chip with a four-core neural engine enhancing local AI capabilities;
  • a faster charging rate — up to 80% in about 30 minutes (battery life, though, is expected to remain around 36 hours for common use cases).

The Series 11 watch will get the upgraded S11 chip and 5G support; on the software side, this product will be able to score your sleep, understand gestures, and tap into the power of AI in watchOS 26.

As for the Apple Watch SE 3, the affordable option in the lineup is supposed to be equipped with the S10 chip and get a better battery.

What will not be unveiled at “Awe Dropping”

Throughout the year, we’ve heard some rumors about this or that Apple product line that is supposed to get updated in 2025. This close to the fall 2025 event, there’s some degree of confidence about the destiny of these lines.

  • New HomePod. While there still is a chance Apple will surprise everyone by giving the new HomePod with a display at “Awe Dropping,” it is likely this product has been postponed to 2026.
  • New AirPods Pro. Same as the HomePod: could be unveiled in 2025, but 2026 sounds much more plausible.
  • New Studio Display. This one wasn’t really expected at the fall 2025 event, but it still deserves a mention as a product supposedly to be unveiled in early 2026. The display will have the same 27-inch screen size, but could become a mini-LED monitor.

Stay tuned for the post-show report!
