4Media Video Splitter 2 is a video editing tool for the Mac. It can split your files into two or more parts manually or automatically.

If you do this manually, you need to select a point in the video where you want the app to cut it. If you choose the automatic route, there are a few options available. You can specify the number of minutes or megabytes that you want the app to split the videos. The default values are split every 1 minute or split every 1 megabyte, but you can change the value. The other automatic option allows you to split into a number of equal segments.

The application features a video player that lets you view your video before you split it and when you are ready to select a split point, you can do so by pressing a single button. The sections of the video that you want to split will be clearly marked.

After you have selected the way in which you want to split the video, you can change the save options. By default, the app will conserve the original format of the file, and save your videos in your Movies folder, but you can also change the location and have the app convert your file into other formats.

In my testing, I used the splitter to cut an MKV video into two different clips. The app took a bit over 20 seconds to process a 1-minute file, which isn't really fast.
