4Media iPhone Video Converter is a commercial video converter. It allows you to convert pretty much any video file into a few formats that can be played by the iPhone natively, such as H.264, MPEG-4 and MOV. The support for input formats in video converters by 4Media is excellent, and this converter is no exception. All the files that I tested were successfully opened. I tried with MKV, DivX, FLV, 3GP and MP4 files.
4Media iPhone Video Converter has a very nice graphical user interface. It is almost identical to the one used by 4Media Windows converters. There is a video player for quick video previews and you can use it to take image snapshots of your videos. There are some features that you won't find in this app that some other similarly priced converters do come with. For example, there is no video editor. You also can't trim or crop your videos.
In terms of performance, this converter works well enough for daily use. It converted a 1-minute MKV file into an H.264 file in less than 2 minutes on my Mac. That isn't blazing fast, but is on par with similar solutions.
So basically, this is a nice converter. But at this price, and lacking some important features, I wouldn't recommend it over more complete solutions.
