Work with a webcam and multiple video processing algorithms to create a mirror view. Place the generated window on the desktop of your computer while pointing the webcam directly in from, and see what's happening behind your back. Resize and adjust the image.

3rd Eye Mirror lite is an interesting app that lets you see behind you. It works exactly like a rear-view mirror. The application shows you the video stream from your web camera, so that you can see what is happening behind you. The video is shown in a frameless window that you can easily move, resize and quit, if necessary. There are a few different controls. You can move the window by clicking on its lower half and then dragging it. If you click on the upper half, you will close the video window altogether. If you click and drag on one of the lower edges, you will resize the image.

3rd Eye Mirror lite puts an icon on the menubar, from where you can change a few settings. One of those is the aspect ratio. The two available options are 4:3 and 16:9. The latter works best with newer Macbook Pros and iMacs that come with the HD FaceTime camera.

You can choose to start the application when your system boots up. But one of the limitations of this "lite" version is that the application won't remember the size or position of the video window.

In short, this is a very nice app for when you want to be aware of what is going on behind you.
