3herosoft iPhone Ringtone Maker is a simple audio edition tool. It was designed to create short audio clips that you can then use on your iPhone or any other device that supports the M4R format as a ringtone.

You can even tell the app to automatically transfer the ringtones that you create to iTunes and your iPhone or iPad after the process is done, which can save some time.

I tested the application with an MP3 file, but other formats are supported as well. After loading the file, you can use two sliding buttons to set the start and end times for your ringtone. You can also do this manually by typing the times in the boxes below the timeline. Fade In and Fade Out effects, which gradually increase or decrease the volume of your ringtone can be added. And the volume of the audio can be changed as well by using the volume slider.

All in all, I liked this application, mainly because it is very easy to use and the interface is good-looking. The only problem that I experienced, and it is an important one, was that I found myself unable to control the playback of my audio file by dragging the timeline. So there was no easy way for me to go back or forward to select a precise start or end time.
