321Soft Video Converter for Mac is a general-purpose video conversion tool. It can be used to convert pretty much any modern video file into a variety of video and audio formats. The list of supported output formats is too long to go over here, but chances are that the format you need to convert your files to is supported. The application also comes with conversion profiles for different multimedia playback devices. Most Apple devices are included, but the newest ones have not been added into the profile list. I noticed that there is also a list of profiles for specific Mac applications. Using one of those conversion profiles will convert your file with optimized quality settings so that you can import it into one of the available apps.
This converter comes with three video edition features. There is a clipper, which is normally called a "trimmer". This utility lets you cut down your videos to make shorter clips. You will also find a cropper, which can be used to reduce the resolution of your videos, and, lastly, there is also a basic editor that lets you adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation of your videos.
To test this converter I loaded a 1-minute, 720p MKV file and converted it into the HD MOV profile. The conversion process took a long, long time. I stopped counting at 2 minutes, and the process was not even at 50%. There is no estimated time indicator. In fact, all you see is a bar that barely moves. Converting into HD MP4 was faster, but only slightly.
