Xmplify is an XML editor supporting various convenient features, such as DTD and XML Schema-based autocompletion. Likewise, it lets you validate your document and preview HTML documents in real time. Fortunately, it comes with excellent help documentation. Besides, there are screencasts and tutorials available online.

The application’s interface is quite similar to those of other editors of its type. Most of the window is devoted to the editing region. Moreover, there is an outline pane that lets you explore the structure of the documents and can be hidden to get extra space. Likewise, there is the top toolbar from which most of the functions are accessible.

One of the best features of Xmplify is that it analyzes the code as it is being written in order to help you with autocompletion suggestions. Likewise, it validates the contents of the document against the embedded schema. But that is not all, the application can automatically derive a DTD or XML Schema in case none has been specified, which it can use to supply autocompletion and help you find your way through the XML content. Another quite useful feature is the possibility of previewing HTML files in real time, which means that they are updated automatically whenever there is a change in the source code.

In general, Xmplify is a great solution if you need to edit XML documents efficiently and minimize the occurrence of errors. Unlike other similar tools, this XML editor is native to OSX; however, this is at the expense of not being cross-platform. The product can be tried for a few days and has a reasonable price.
