Wondershare Video Converter Pro for Mac is a complete video converter. It is a commercial tool that lets you convert video and audio files and DVD movies to a lot of different formats. Unlike other apps, both the video/audio converting features and the DVD ripper are found in the same window, which makes it easy to batch-convert a lot of content.
You can simply drag and drop files to the window to convert them, but you will have to click on the "Load" menu and select the DVD option to load a DVD movie. Once loaded, a DVD will behave just like a video file. You will see a snapshot and a button that will take you to the conversion settings window for that particular file. In that window, you can change the name of the file, format, and some settings for both video and audio. The available formats range from ASF, AVI, to FLV, to WMV, MKV and MP4. All the popular formats are supported.
The app comes with a nice video editor that allows you to trim, crop and adjust your videos' brightness and saturation, among other things.
In my testing, I converted an MKV file to MP4 for playback on an iPhone, and the process was smooth. The resulting file played great on iTunes.
