The program is very comfortable to use to extract compressed files. You can manually specify the directory to extract files to. Besides I like the simplicity of interface.
StuffIt expander is really one of the best pieces of software for Mac I have ever used. Its capabilities are really impressive and let you customize the decompressing process to the extent that the Windows user have never dreamt about. So, you can set the application to automatically delete the archives after the files, contained in them, are decompressed (and decompression itself is done more or less automatically).
And the best thing about it is that StuffIt Expander is absolutely freeware. It means that you can get all its functionality for zero dollars zero cents. To my mind, it's more than a bargain in these hard times, when almost everybody's hard-up.
