Share Bucket is intended to facilitate cloud-based file sharing. Although the application has been specifically designed for sharing screenshots, it also allows you to upload other types of files. In terms of cloud services, it supports Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive, among others.
The tool is very unobtrusive. It runs from the menu bar and responds to different keyboard shortcuts. The workflow is very simple and consists of taking the screenshot, making the necessary annotations, uploading the resulting files to the cloud and sharing the respective links with other users.
Fortunately, you can initiate a screenshot in several ways. In this regard, you can use keyboard shortcuts or open the menu from the application icon. It is also possible to drag and drop existing files onto the application window.
Good news is that you do not need any external application to make your annotations, as the tool comes with a built-in image editor. Thus, you can annotate the captured image with lines, texts, shapes and arrows. In the same way, it is possible to crop the image. Finally, you can save the results in the format of your choice (PNG, JPEG, TIFF and PDF).
It is nice that once a file is uploaded to the cloud, a link is automatically generated and copied to the clipboard. Additionally, you can configure how long the link will be valid and to use a shortened URL. Unfortunately, links cannot be kept for more than 30 days after they are generated. more
