Prices Drop Monitor for Amazon is, as its name clearly states, a program that lets you know whenever there's a new discount available for a preferred product on the well-known Amazon website. This application displays notifications on your desktop with price drops, gives you direct access to a product's Amazon webpage, and informs you about the best sellers from the aforementioned website.

All you need to do in order to monitor the price changes is to drag-and-drop the links of the products you require over the app's main window. Afterwards, the app check for price drops at every 4 hours (up to 24 hours) and informs you if there are any discounts available.

An important advantage is that the application can send you emails with price drops. You just need to enable this option from the Preferences menu and the app will let you know if there are any price changes for the Amazon products you're following.

My only concern regarding this app is that it doesn't support notifications for all types of Amazon products. In my testing, I tried to monitor price drops for an e-book and the utility failed to offer me the help I needed.

Another thing I noticed while working with the app is that it lets you monitor up to 20 items at a time. Though, you can make a small in-app purchase and raise the limit to 50 products.

As a conclusion, this program proves to be a reliable solution for any Amazon customer who needs to keep track of price drops. The application is very simple to handle, supports drag-and-drop action, and uses a small amount of CPU resources while sitting on your Menu Bar.
