Polarr Photo Editor is mainly used to make various types of corrections and enhancements to your photographs. It has a very intuitive design, without the complexities typically found in more sophisticated applications. In this regard, it offers two different workspace modes: Express and Pro. Logically, the Express one is both easier to use and poorer in terms of features.

The editor comes with multiple features, such as deep color correction. There is a main working area in which you can view the photo you are working with. Moreover, there is the possibility to switch to side-by-side view to compare the original with the modified picture. A great variety of tools are available on the left side of the window and some of them show additional options when you choose them.

The available tools serve a wide range of purposes. For instance, you can add curves and text as well as use custom filters and overlays. Likewise, it comes with many customizable brushes and color palettes. Like most picture editors, there is also a tool to crop the image. It allows using a remarkable precision when correcting color, particularly that of the skin tone.

The editor supports working with large image files of up to 30 Mb. The intended format is JPG and you will probably consider that its inability to open RAW files is a limitation. While it is good that it comes with an extensive collection of filters, it does not allow installing third-party plugins. more
