Permute is a Mac utility that enables you to convert your movies, images, and audio files to various media formats. The program supports drag-and-drop actions and batch processing, is compatible with various media formats, and gives you access to quality output files.
In the Preferences panel of the tool, you will find various output settings (for example, for choosing the destination folder), notification options, and a list of available presets. You can create and save your own output presets if needed.
To convert your files, simply drag-and-drop them over the program's interface, choose the preferred output format, and click the "Start" button. The utility will immediately generate the quality output files you need, without slowing down your Mac.
The only things missing from this tool are a media player and editing options (crop videos, trim songs, rotate images, etc.). Other media converters provide you with these features.
Still, Permute gives you access to high-quality results and is very simple to handle. Plus, unlike its many competitors, it comes at a very reasonable price.
