This program is, as its name clearly suggests, a Mac utility that helps you encrypt PDF documents. The application might come in handy if you wish to password-protect your PDFs and prevent other people from opening, editing or printing the documents without your permission.

PDF Encrypt offers you a very intuitive interface, supports batch processing, and even allows you to merge multiple PDFs into a single, password-protected document. Plus, the utility immediately provides you with the results you require.

Another important advantage is the fact that it allows you to edit metadata before launching the encryption process.

In my testing, this program worked flawlessly, hence, I have no complaints when it comes to results and the way the app behaves (uses minimum CPU resources). After completing the encryption process I checked if the resulted documents were encrypted based on my requirements; the app applied the output settings.

With that being said, I can't find any reason why you shouldn't try it. PDF Encrypt offers you the results you need within seconds, is very simple to use, and comes with an affordable price.
