If you are having trouble organizing your workspace efficiently, Optimal Layout is just the tool you need; the application provides the means for positioning and resizing opened windows so that desktop work becomes as comfortable as possible.
The application lies in the menubar which makes it easily accessible, with some quick shortcuts available (maximize window, half screen, top right positioning).
Optimal Layout is quite straightforward to use; with the screen displayed in a grid mode, the user only needs to select an opened window and define the area on the screen where that window will be placed. The utility works with dual monitors as it can send a selected window to the other display. After setting up all application positions, the user may save the configuration for later use.
From the Preferences menu you may have Optimal Layout run at login, show, menu bar icon and position buttons, choose from 3 types of styles (Optimal, Focussed and Listless), change window list, preview colors. The program features hotkey support for a wide range of commands such as activation, control, resizing and position.
