Movie Studio is a simple video converter that allows you to optimize media files for your playback needs. Also, the tool comes with basic video and audio editing features that let you customize the input files before enabling the conversion.
In the absence of any Preferences, you must satisfy with what you can find on the main window. Therefore, you have the ability to load as many files as you want, either by drag-and-drop or by browsing your computer. Then, you need to select the destination folder and choose the desired output format. Unfortunately, the list of profiles isn't organized by device so you need to know what format is compatible with your media player. Optionally, you can set the video resolution and bit rate, the encoder and FPS, the audio bit rate, sample rate, and channel. The volume can be decreased or increased, according to your needs.
The Tools module offers basic editing features that help you rotate, flip, crop, and trim selected videos before conversion. Adding an image watermark is supported, but the options in terms of positioning, resizing, and transparency are poor or missing. On top of all, you can't see the changes you make to the input video since the app lacks previewing.
To make things short, Movie Studio is a poor-featured video converter and editor. In addition, the output videos bear a watermark that makes them useless. The watermark no longer appears if purchasing the app.
