Info updated on:

MIDI Guitar for Garageband is a software tool, designed for music enthusiasts and professionals, that uses a technology called polyphonic pitch detection to help in the creation of personal music. With this technology, any guitar can be transformed into a polyphonic MIDI guitar.

The main interface looks quite original, with panels organized by the functionalities delivered by the app, but there is also a main menu, on the left side, with common options. The colors used to decorate the GUI make the environment more enjoyable, though the main menu does look a bit overcrowded.

As for the app's functionalities, users can enjoy using guitar synthesizes, in order to add the desired synth or virtual instrument to their guitar effects. It also has lots of built-in plugins that can be loaded, and they include Transposer, Sweetspot, JD1 Overdrive, JS9 Screamer, and many others. When it comes to its MIDI Machines, among the most interesting ones there is the Sustain, Transposer, and MIDI Output.

All in all, MIDI Guitar for Garageband is a reliable application that provides lots of tools for creating new and original audio tracks. The only disturbing con is represented by the reauthorization procedure that keeps appearing every time a new update comes.
