Info updated on:

McIcon is a lightweight and straightforward application that helps you resize images to given dimensions. The program is designed for users who are looking for a simple solution to turn ordinary images into icons. At the same time, you may use it to simply rescale a picture to any of the specific width and height coordinates provided by the program.

The interface is very simple and intuitive. It consists of an input panel, where you can preview the image you have just loaded, and an output pane displaying the master picture in ten differently-scaled layouts. Saving the item that suits your needs can be done by dragging the resized picture towards a location of your choice and dropping it there. The utility comes with an additional function that allows you to convert the image into a document icon. Once this feature is enabled, you are allowed to insert a text near the image icon. You have the ability to customize the text in terms of font style, size, and color, as well as of position in relation to the image icon. The resulting file is converted automatically into a PNG image.

What this application does is – literally – resizing pictures at specific dimensions. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide you with the ability to apply custom sizes. Any advanced features are non-existent, so that the program becomes a good alternative for users who need a simple tool to align images to standard dimensions.
