MacX DVD Ripper Pro is more than its name suggests. Besides helping you rip DVDs on your Mac, this program also enables you to convert ISO files and DVD folders to a wide variety of media formats, edit the imported movies, and attach subtitles to your videos.
You can import content from a DVD that's being inserted into your Mac, an ISO file or a DVD folder from your local directories. Then, all you need to do is to choose the preferred output profile, select a destination folder, and click the "Run" button. The program will generate the file you need without slowing down your Mac.
A great thing is that the utility is also packed with a couple of advanced settings. For example, you can configure the output profile settings according to your needs. The program lets you choose the preferred video codec, resolution, frame rate, etc. You also have access to options to trim or crop the imported movies.
A disadvantage is the fact that the tool has moments when it doesn't work fast. For example, it might take a while to launch the utility and to convert the imported movies. The program is also missing options to watermark videos and to merge movies, features which are offered by other DVD rippers.
Still, the output quality is excellent and the program is very intuitive. So, it's worth giving it a try if none of the aforementioned aspects mean anything to you.
