iSkysoft iMedia Converter is a great media conversion tool. It is a video converter and a DVD ripper all in one. This app can thus open DVD movies, video files and audio files and convert them to a variety of formats. It uses conversion profiles for optimized playback on several different devices, including iPods, iPhones, AppleTV 1 and 2, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, etc.
You can add as many files to the conversion queue as you want, and you can either convert them all to the same format, or choose different conversion profiles for each one of the files on your queue. I noticed that once you add a file, there's no easy way to remove it from the queue. Of course, you can go to the menu and delete items, but that's not as easy as hitting "delete" on your keyboard. Another problem that I noticed is that for files that had subtitle tracks built-in, like MKV files, you couldn't select the subtitle track to pass it on to your converted file. Yet another problem that I found is that when ripping DVD movies with multiple titles (such as TV show DVD discs), only one episode is selected.
Those problems aside, the application does an OK job of converting video and DVD movies. It has a very slick interface that is intuitive and looks very native. There is also great format support.
