Hideman VPN helps you protect your online privacy as well as access some forbidden services. In this respect, it is good news that it supports connecting through the P2P, the protocol that makes torrenting possible. Likewise, it supports connecting to Onion networks (Tor), which lets you access Dark Web resources. Moreover, it can also unblock some media streaming services that are blocked for your current location.

The application has a straightforward interface, similar to those of many other tools. The app runs in the background and can be accessed from its icon on the Menu Bar. Starting your VPN connection is even easier if you are using a free account as you only need to select the Connect command. However, a free account does not allow you to select the desired country.

Although you can access a total of 22 countries if you have a paid account, their network is not very large and it is not widely distributed either. However, they provide strong data security by supporting OpenVPN and PPTP. Similarly, highly reliable 256-bit encryption is available as well.

In terms of privacy, the provider claims that they only keep logs of data indispensable for managing the services, which include account, IP address, transferred volume and connection times.

All in all, Hideman VPN is better for casual protected Internet access. In this respect, a free account provides a limited amount of data transfer as well as speeds; yet, it does not require entering personal data. However, if you are satisfied with their services and need more, it is possible to purchase an Ultimate account.
