Heileen 3: New Horizons is an adventure game for Mac where you continue the story of Heileen, a young lady who embarked in a trip to the New World and ended up on a pirate ship. This visual novel has a captivating storyline, plenty of nicely-drawn animations, and dozens of interactive dialogues between Heileen and other characters.
Similarly to the two previous parts, this app lets you interact with other characters, choose from various replies in dialogues, and allows you to save your game progress whenever you feel it's necessary. The obvious change comes from the fact that now you can decide how your character evolves during the story, meaning you can develop and increase various skills (charisma, endurance, wisdom, strength, etc.) by completing certain tasks.
You also improve your skills by opting for the most suitable choices during the dialogues with the rest of the characters. The better the answers, the more qualities or virtues you gain.
Another good aspect about this game is the fact that it has 14 different finales. Hence, you'll surely like the way the game ends if you make good decisions throughout the story and develop as many skills as you can on the way.
To conclude, Heileen 3: New Horizons is an entertaining and addictive fiction game that can keep you in front of your Mac for hours. However, I wouldn't recommend this app to minor users as it brings age inappropriate dialogues and animations.
