Is there a way to install older version of Chrome, since it keeps getting auto-updates?

You will have to use Google Search to download an older version of the software. Access Google Results and then download a version from Old Apps. After the browser has been installed, copy the below code to Notepad and save the file as disableupdate.reg or whatever you like, but keep the REG extension. Merge the settings to the registry and that's it. Chrome won't automatically update anymore.
After my Google Chrome 10 crashed, I restarted it, but all of my favicon were missing and Google Chrome was no longer saving history. I reinstalled Google Chrome and nothing changed, so, I updated to the beta version (11.0.696.25), and everything still remained the same. Help me!

When Google Chrome crashed, the profile was damaged making Chrome unable to save fav icons, URLs, settings, etc. To fix this, uninstall Chrome from your Mac, and use CleanMyMac to remove any other files that are not needed anymore. After this operation, download and install Google Chrome again. You will need to confirm the installation with your key chain password so that Chrome stores everything in its place.

You can just install it from google.com/chrome , it should sort out the problem itself.
