This application helps you convert QuickTime files into iMovie formats. This way, you will have the chance to customize the appearance of QuickTime-supported formats with the Mac's most commonly used media file editor. Once the files are suitable for iMovie import, you will be able to enhance and manage your digital movie collection the way you want.

The program's interface is clear-cut, neat, and intuitive. Converting files with this application is really simple, since all you need to do is add the files you intend to process, apply some editing to them – if you consider it necessary –, set the saving location, and launch the conversion. Adding individual or multiple files at once can be done easily, either by searching for files from within the application or by dragging items from an already opened folder and dropping them into the list panel.

If no adjustments are required, you may start the conversion right away. However, if you consider it necessary, you may tweak some output video and audio parameters, as they are conveniently customizable in terms of size, rates, scale, codec, and channel. In addition, the program provides you with standard editing features, such as trimming part of a video file, cropping a specific image area, and merging multiple items into a single large file. In order to protect your rights on the project, you may add text and image watermarks to it, whose basic values are slightly customizable. Subtitles can also be added, so that you can convert your videos with them attached. Unfortunately, other sensitive enhancements with respect to audio replacement, volume adjustment, image improvements in terms of contrast and brightness, can't be applied.

The conversion process runs well, without unexpected stops and errors. The editing features may not be comprehensive, but you can always rely on iMovie for further improvements, being the software program for which you convert your QuickTime files using this tool.
