Feedly is much more than a simple RSS feed utility. This program not only helps you keep track of the latest news from your favorite RSS feeds, but it also enables you to monitor the newest posts from preferred blogs, YouTube channels, websites, and many other sources.

Before using this application on your Mac you need to create a personal account on the homepage of the developer. Afterwards, you can use the selected credentials to log in within the interface and manage your subscription info. The advantage of storing the data in an account gives you the possibility to access your news info from other devices, such as mobile phones or tablets, directly from your default web browser.

After you select the RSS feeds you wish to subscribe to, the application lets you create a special category for the collected info. For instance, you can create a group for sports-related news. The program also gives you access to a built-in search tool that helps you immediately find the article you wish to read.

Another great thing about this application is the fact that it allows you to share your favorite articles via email, Twitter or Facebook account, etc. It also lets you copy the news to your Evernote account or share them on your blog.

All in all, I think it's definitely worth using this program on your Mac for monitoring the latest news. It's nicely-designed, intuitive, and free.
