EZToo DVD to AVI Converter is a DVD ripper that lets you convert your movies into AVI files. The codecs available for conversion are H.264, DivX and XviD. These formats are very popular and will play on most devices, including gaming consoles, smartphones and, of course, most PCs and Macs.
When you load a DVD movie with this, which can be done from either a DVD disc or a folder on your Mac, it will display a list of all the DVD titles that make up your movie. Then, you can select which ones you want to convert by checking a box next to them. Unfortunately, you can't convert different titles to different formats in the same operation. All your titles will be converted to the same format. There is a button at the bottom of the screen that will display chapters as well. This is great if you only want to convert a part of a title, especially since this app doesn't come with a video editor that you can use to trim titles.
This application works well and it is on par with other applications in terms of speed. However, it doesn't have the best interface or overall app design. There are some spelling mistakes in the interface, and to select a single chapter for conversion, you have to uncheck every other chapter, which is time consuming.
