EXIF App is intended for exploring EXIF information. In this regard, it helps you view important information about specific photographs, such as the camera model used, the place it was taken as well as the exact time. Fortunately, it supports different EXIF formats, irrespective of your camera’s manufacturer.

The application has a pleasant interface, which has separate tabs for every type of EXIF data. After importing the photographs via drag-and-drop, you can easily browse them from the left panel. The default tab is Viewfinder, which simulates a camera screen and shows info related to the shot. This way, you can know the selected shutter speed, F-stop, ISO number, focus indication, exposure compensation and focal length, among other things.

The second tab takes advantage of the possibility of storing the GPS coordinates as part of EXIF info. In this respect, the tool can load a map and mark the exact location where the shot was taken. The third tab, in turn, organizes available EXIF data into categories such as camera properties, ExifAux and PictureStyle, which facilitates finding a given information. As to the fourth tab, it is labeled RAW and shows the data exactly as it was stored. Finally, the Stats tab presents consolidated information in tabular form. Luckily, the data can be exported to external files.

All in all, EXIF App allows you to explore the metadata included in your photographs. Compared with other tools, its main limitation is that it does not support manipulating such information. The product is available from the Mac Store.
