Duplicate Sweeper is a handy application that scans your computer for duplicate files and offers to remove them in batches. The program works with all types of files and saves the results into separate categories based on file content. The categories refer to music files, videos, images, documents, and other file types that can't be clearly classified.
The program's appearance is plain simple and easy to manage. Searching for duplicates requires you to follow a few simple steps. First, you need to select the folders to be scanned – the loading procedure is done easily either by using the drag-and-drop method, or by browsing your computer from within the application. Before you enable the scanning process, it is recommended to narrow the search, so that the results are closer to what you are looking for. Therefore, you can set filters that refer to files sizes and extensions – namely, the scanning process may ignore the files that are larger and/or smaller than the size parameters you defined, as well as those items that belong to specific file types. Next, you may proceed with the duplicate search. While scanning is in progress, you are informed about the estimated remaining time. In addition, you are provided with real-time information regarding the total number of files identified by the program.
