This program is, as its name suggests, a utility that helps you delete DS_Store (Desktop Services Store) files from your local directories and external storage devices. The application brings you a user-friendly interface, supports drag-and-drop action, and immediately removes all DS_Store files from the selected folders.
All you need to do in order to work with this tool is to drag and drop the folders you wish to process over the app's screen (clean DS_Store files) and click the Clean Up! button. The program then scans the selected directories and if there are any DS_Store files found, it immediately deletes them.
The app also features an option that, once enabled, clears Thumbs.db files (created by Windows when thumbnail view is used) from the selected folders.
The only negative aspect I can mention is that I had to find the download link for the app all by myself as the developer doesn't provide it on the homepage of Ds Store Remover. The program can be found and downloaded from the Mac App Store.
