To import your finished painting from Photos back to Brushes for Mac, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Brushes Viewer on your Mac.
  2. Look for an "Import" or "Open" option within the program.
  3. Navigate to the location where you saved your finished painting in Photos.
  4. Select the painting file and click on import or open.
  5. The painting should now be imported and ready for you to make any additions or modifications within Brushes Viewer.

My MAC is telling me that Brushes Viewer is not compatible with my next update (currently on MOJAVE 10.14.5). Is this true? If so, are you planning to update your software? Thanks, Rob

I am unable to open any Brushes Redux file in Brushes Viewer. I can open the sample files that come with Brushes Viewer but not one I create myself with Brushes Redux. Both files have the same .brushes extension. I can find nothing online to help me. I am an art teacher using Brushes Redux on a class set of 25 iPads.

Exporting a video from brushes. How can I do it? Is it possible?

Answer by Stephen Prastman

The first thing you have to do is to install the application. Since the app is not available from the official website any more, you can use the download page at Mac Informer to obtain the DMG file. After the files has been downloaded, install it and open any .brushes project you might have started. Once you complete it, go to File > Export movie and save the file on your desktop or where you want it and that's it.
