BookSmart is a complete solution when it comes to designing your own cookbooks, business portfolio, wedding album, novel, and many other things. This program was developed as a freeware alternative to hiring a graphic designer to get the aforementioned tasks done.
The application provides you with a wide range of templates, page layout settings, themes, and much more. After you make the necessary book design alterations, you can start importing pictures and writing the text content.
A good thing about working with this program is that, once you complete designing and writing the book, you can find out how much money you get to spend if you plan to publish the book using the Blurb's services (the developer of BookSmart).
A disadvantage of BookSmart is that it support only one output format (.bookexport) when it comes to exporting your book projects.
