Bigasoft iPad Video Converter is a commercial video converter. It was designed to let you convert your video files so that you can play them on your iPad. If you are an iPad owner, you have probably already figured out that your AVI, WMV, or MKV files can't be added to iTunes so that you can put them on your device. There is a reason why that happens. The iPad can only play H.264, MPEG-4, and MOV files. The same goes for all the other Apple devices.
That is a problem that can be solved easily. All you need to do is add the file that you want to convert to the application and then select one of the conversion profiles from the drop-down menu. You will notice that there are conversion profiles for the iPad, the iPhone and the iPod. These are pre-configured conversion settings that are optimized for those devices.
The app comes with a video editor that lets you trim and crop your videos and adjust some of their properties.
In my testing, I converted an MKV and an AVI file into H.264. I found that the quality of the video was almost identical to that of the original file, but the audio was out of sync. This is a problem that I experienced with a few Bigasoft converters. Maybe a future update will solve the problem.
