Art Authority for Macintosh is a great application that provides over 1000 art works from all over the world. The paintings are from different periods such as Gothic, Renaissance, Ancient, Romantic, Impressionist and others and are made by the artists that have a big name in the art world. The paintings come categorized by country and period and you can choose at the program startup which category you want to visualize.
The paintings can be seen as a slide show and you are able to choose the number of seconds between slides. Art Authority for Macintosh provides effects such as dissolve, wipe, montage, move in and reveal and you can select each one of them as a transition effect between images. You are also able to choose the color of the slideshow back ground. The program also gives you the possibility to change the pictures manually.
On each image a text will appear with information about the painting such as its name, the name of the artist that created it and the year when it was made. You can also choose to disable this feature.
