Info updated on:

AppSpy is a really interesting application for iOS users. It can scan your iTunes library and find all the applications that you have downloaded for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Then, it goes online and it verifies the version of your apps. It then tells you whether there are updates available for them. AppSpy can do its magic both with legal and cracked apps.

The main window contains three panes. After you click on "reload apps", a list of all your applications will be displayed on the left pane. Applications with updates available will show a green arrow pointing up. If you click on any of the applications, the middle pane will show some information about the app. This information includes name, version, executable name, identifier, location, size and SDK used. The pane on the right will display the update information, along with the new version, size, and price. There will be also a description of the app, probably downloaded from the App Store.

At the top of the screen, you will see how many of your apps have updates, and there are links to the folder where the iPA files are stored, and to a search function.
