Aiseesoft Nexus One Video Converter for Mac is a great video conversion tool for mobile phone owners. The application not only lets you convert your video files so that you can play them on the Nexus One, it also supports a variety of other devices thanks to its large number of conversion profiles, which are pre-configured conversion options. Some of the supported devices are the iPhone 5, iPhone 4/4S, Blackberry Bold, Curve and Storm Series, several HTC phones and Android handsets. The application can open pretty much any video file and if you don't want to use one of the conversion profiles, you can choose from MPEG-4, H.264, WMV, WebM, MOV, 3GP, and AVI as your output format.

When you launch the application and before you load any files, you will see on-screen instructions on how to convert your files. At the top of the screen, you will find a toolbar with buttons that let you load files and access the video editing features. Down at the bottom, there is a menu that lets you choose a format or conversion profile. If you want to play your video before converting it there is a built-in video player that can play most formats quite smoothly.

In my testing, I converted a 720p MKV file into MPEG-4 for the Nexus One. The process took a but over 16 seconds for a 30-second clip, which isn't bad at all. The resulting file looked very good.
